DigitalGene Biosciences designs
and produces technical platforms for genomics and proteomics
technologies.
Based on a more mature genomics market, we have developed our
bio-instrument capability with high throughout and benchtop
microarrayers combined with a widening range of consumables.
These are to serve our clients globally in research labs, biomedical
centres and hospitals. Locally, we focus on the service of contracted
projects and cooperative agreements with hospitals nationwide.
Digitalgene's chemical synthesis division has expertise in complex
peptide synthesis and modification techniques. We can support
a wide range of clients from research labs, drug fabricators,
pharmaceutical corporations and medical centers. Our work primarily
involves supporting research centers on new drug developments
and clinical trials, Digitalgene being the first Peptide supplier
to enter the Taiwan market.
DigitalGene's proteomics division has expertise in most of the
major techniques used in proteomics, including 2DGE, LCMS, MALDI-TOF
MS etc. By integrating conventional protein research methods
and maturing mass spetral techniques such as MALDI-TOF, we offer
a comprehensive service earning an enviable reputation in Taiwan
and the Asian-Pacific Rim.
In the middle and long term our plans stress the study of the
relationship of protein and diseases, exploiting a technical
platform supporting new biotechnological drug development and
effectively minimizing development time to market. This includes
an active MEMs development program for protein and disease detection.
Our two longer-term aims include developing tumor markers for
the medical market and the production of antibiotic detection
chips.
